The existingAl Istiqlal Road stretching from south of theAl Wahda (Arch) roundabout to north of the North Channel Crossing and Onaiza Street will be upgraded as part of the Lusail Expressway project.Apart from offering fast connectivity between Doha and Lusail, the expressway will improve interchanges benefiting the existing development areas such as Pearl and Katara with better connectivity. The project will involve 5.3km of four-lane highway in both directions and three major interchanges in Northern Doha.
